1. General Terms and Responsibilities
- Users must provide accurate personal details during registration, including valid contact information, to enable proper class coordination and communication.
- Accounts are for personal use only and cannot be shared or transferred to another person.
- Users must maintain the confidentiality of login credentials. Any unauthorized use of accounts must be reported immediately.
- Course schedules, lecturers, and content are subject to change. We will make reasonable efforts to inform users of changes in advance.
- All official communication between students and the lecturer shall be STRICTLY conducted via the assigned WhatsApp group. The management WILL NOT BE responsible for any communications made personally.
- To reschedule a class, it MUST be informed to the WhatsApp group between 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM. If it is an URGENT rescheduling, one of the admins should be contacted via phone call to confirm the new time.
- Students and lecturers MUST use the scheduled link for each class, which will be sent beforehand mentioning the date. If a recurring link is used, it is the LECTURER’S RESPONSIBILITY to confirm whether it is valid, as the permitted dates for the recurring link will be clearly mentioned.
- The recurring link CANNOT be used for a rescheduled class, and NO OLD LINK should be used for any new class, except the recurring link with proper date verification.
- Users must comply with all applicable laws in Sri Lanka regarding the use of online educational services.
2. Payments
- All payments for courses, classes, or subscriptions must be made in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) through the approved payment gateway integrated with Tutor.lk.
- Payments are strictly non-refundable under any circumstance, including withdrawal from a course or missed classes.
- Students may, where applicable, settle course fees in installments. The schedule and number of installments will be agreed upon at the time of enrollment.
- Failure to complete installment payments within the agreed time may result in suspension of access to classes or removal from the program.
- Users are responsible for providing accurate billing information during checkout. Incorrect or fraudulent payment details may result in suspension of services.
- We reserve the right to change course fees or service charges with reasonable notice posted on the Website.
3. Return and Refund Policy
- Since educational services are delivered digitally and time is reserved exclusively for enrolled students, all payments are non-refundable.
- Refunds are not provided under any circumstance, including non-attendance, withdrawal, or dissatisfaction, unless required by applicable law.
- Duplicate payments or proven technical errors may be credited towards future classes, at our sole discretion.
4. Class Conduct and Use of Platform
- Students are expected to behave respectfully in all online classes and communication channels. Abusive, disruptive, or inappropriate behavior may result in removal from the class without refund.
- Sharing, recording, or redistributing class content without written consent from Tutor.lk is strictly prohibited.
- Technical issues arising from a student’s device, internet connection, or software are the responsibility of the student.
5. Limitation of Liability
- While every effort is made to ensure uninterrupted access, Tutor.lk does not guarantee that the platform will be error-free or always available.
- Tutor.lk is not liable for:
- Internet failures, device malfunctions, or third-party service interruptions.
- Misuse of course materials by students or third parties.
- Unauthorized communications outside official Tutor.lk channels.
6. Amendments
We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted on the Website with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
